The Amarillo Sox (23-22) pounded the Worcester Tornadoes on Wednesday 11-5 at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stad.
The Amarillo Sox scored five runs in the fifth on a triple by Matthew Tucker, a triple by Jake Opitz, a single by Tim Alberts, a sacrifice fly by Alberto Espinosa, and a solo home run by Mitch Abeita.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with five lead changes.
Tucker had two extra-base hits for the Amarillo Sox.
Chuck Lofgren recorded his second win of the year for the Amarillo Sox. He allowed four runs over six innings. Lofgren struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits.
The Amarillo Sox's Tucker, Opitz, Espinosa and Abeita combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
Ryan Bicondoa ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
