The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (21-20) jumped out to an early lead on the St Paul Saints (18-21) and captured an 11-2 victory on Saturday at Newman Outdoor Field.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Nic Jackson, , and during the first inning and , a two-run double by Jon Gaston, and a single by Ryan Delgado in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

Zach Penprase racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first, second, and fifth innings.

Aaron Shafer's six strikeouts helped the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to the victory. Shafer allowed two earned runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Todd Mathison (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
