The Baltimore Redbirds (15-8) used a four-run explosion in the ninth inning to get past the Alexandria Aces (12-11) 12-4 on Thursday at Frank Mann Field.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with seven lead changes.

The Baltimore Redbirds took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. Scored Alex Pastorius and gave the Baltimore Redbirds the lead for good.

Mark Zagunis reached base three times. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

The Alexandria Aces couldn't get anything going as long as Nick Morton was pitching. The Alexandria Aces managed just three hits off of Morton, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Jamie Treml couldn't get it done on the hill for the Alexandria Aces, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
