The Baltimore Redbirds (15-8) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Herndon Braves (10-12) on Sunday, as the Baltimore Redbirds fell 3-1 at Calvert Hall HS after falling behind by three runs in the fourth inning.

The Baltimore Redbirds scored one run in the fifth on an RBI single by Patrick Blair. Despite their efforts, the Baltimore Redbirds couldn't get over the hump.

James Vasquez was solid at the plate for the Herndon Braves. Vasquez went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Mike Urbanski picked up the win for the Herndon Braves. Urbanski pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and three walks while striking out four.

Corey Taylor was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
