The Baltimore Redbirds (14-8) beat the Alexandria Aces 7-1 on Saturday at Calvert Hall HS after a four-run explosion in the third inning.

Alex Pastorius racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He singled in the second, third, and seventh innings.

Andy Flett looked sharp on the mound. The Alexandria Aces (11-11) managed just three hits off of Flett, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Greg Speiss ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
