An ace performance by Jason Seitler lifted the Rockville Express (5-3) to a 2-1 win over the D.C. Grays (3-5) on Thursday at Hoy Field.

Seitler's nine strikeouts were enough to push the Rockville Express past the D.C. Grays. Seitler allowed one earned run, five hits and four walks over nine innings.

The Rockville Express would not relinquish the lead as the D.C. Grays were unable to weather a two-run sixth inning deficit.

The D.C. Grays scored one run in the eighth on a solo home run by Josh Powell. Despite their efforts, the D.C. Grays couldn't finish the comeback.

The D.C. Grays were led by Powell's hitting. Powell went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

Joey Donino (0-1) took the loss for the D.C. Grays. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
