Colin Milon kept the D.C. Grays (4-8) off the board during his six innings of work and the Alexandria Aces (7-5) beat the D.C. Grays, 2-1.
Milon struck out seven and allowed one walk and two hits.
Jacob Stockton pushed the Alexandria Aces ahead, in the eighth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. After Chris Sweeney was hit by a pitch, Stockton came to the plate with one out in the eighth and doubled, bringing home Sweeney.
Kevin Francke was solid at the plate for the Alexandria Aces. Francke went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.
Shelby Dixon improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Alexandria Aces. He allowed one run over one inning. Dixon struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.
Blake Louscher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
