John Halama kept the Sugar Land Skeeters (49-62) off the board during his nine innings of work and the Lancaster Barnstormers (70-40) beat the Sugar Land Skeeters, 8-0.

Halama struck out two and allowed one walk and seven hits.

The Lancaster Barnstormers blew out the Sugar Land Skeeters thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. A groundout by Ryan Harvey and a three-run home run by Travis Denker helped the Lancaster Barnstormers score four runs in the eighth. The Lancaster Barnstormers had one hit in the inning.

Denker racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers.

Tim Redding (1-1) took the loss for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
