Jason Botts drove in the go-ahead run to give the Sugar Land Skeeters (16-20) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Sugar Land Skeeters hung on to beat the Lancaster Barnstormers (21-16) 4-2 on Sunday.
After Matt Hagen was hit by a pitch, Botts came to the plate with one out in the eighth and homered, scoring Hagen.Botts racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.
Matt Wright handled the Lancaster Barnstormers' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Wright allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over six innings.
Emerson Frostad paced the Lancaster Barnstormers at the plate. Frostad went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.
Gary Majewski got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Majewski struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.
Les Walrond was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
