Ryan Plourde had two extra base hits, sparking the Torrington Titans (20-16) to a 5-1 victory over the Brockton Rox (17-19) on Sunday at Campanelli Stadium.

Tyler Dierke picked up the win for the Torrington Titans. Dierke pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out four.

The Torrington Titans had no answer for Frank Fantino, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Fantino held the Torrington Titans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Evan Brown (1-4) took the loss for the Brockton Rox. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
