Matt Borgschulte went 2-3, helping the So. Ohio Copperheads (20-15) to a 6-1 victory over the Xenia Scouts (17-21) on Friday at Bob Wren Stadium.

The Xenia Scouts had no answer for Cody Mizelle, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mizelle gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Blake McKnight kept the So. Ohio Copperheads off the board during his five innings of work. McKnight allowed two hits, four walks and struck out three.

Jake Harper improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the So. Ohio Copperheads. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Ryan Ruble (2-4) took the loss for the Xenia Scouts. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
