The Hamilton Joes (13-23) beat the Lexington Hustlers 11-3 in six innings on Wednesday at Foundation Field after a 10-run explosion in the second inning.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.
Devon Reed got a hit in each of his four at bats. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second and fourth innings.
Dylan Toscano put together a nice outing. The Lexington Hustlers (15-21) managed just three hits off of the the Hamilton Joes' pitcher, who allowed three earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Shaun Meyer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
