Jacob Bruce brought home the winning run to give the Lima Locos (20-13) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Lima Locos hung on to beat the Lexington Hustlers (13-17) 3-1 on Saturday.
With the score tied at one in the seventh inning, Bruce came to the plate and homered, plating Taylor Pickens.Bruce racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lima Locos. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.
The Lima Locos got the win thanks in large part to Zach Botjer's dominant, nine-strikeout performance. Botjer allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over six innings.
Shaun Meyer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
