The So. Ohio Copperheads (16-8) continued to pile up the runs on Tuesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-2 win over the Stark County Terriers (18-15) at Bob Wren Stadium.
The So. Ohio Copperheads scored five runs in the third on a two-run double by Matt Glomb, a solo home run by Blaise Salter, a sacrifice fly by Ben Netzel, and a solo home run by Aaron Novak.
Salter racked up three RBIs on two hits for the So. Ohio Copperheads.
Justin Brantley struck out nine hitters en route to the the So. Ohio Copperheads win. Brantley allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks over six innings.
The Stark County Terriers were led by Tommy Monnot's hitting. Monnot went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.
Sean Kennedy was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
The So. Ohio Copperheads easily handled the Stark County Terriers pitching as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
