The Cincinnati Steam (19-8) took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Lake Erie Monarchs (15-13), securing a 4-3 victory on Sunday at Western Hills HS.

The Cincinnati Steam pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. An error scored Josh Ungerbuehler and gave the Cincinnati Steam the lead for good.

Bryan Beaver went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Cincinnati Steam. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Devan Ahart did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Monarchs, reaching base three times. He singled in the fifth inning.

Ryan Martin improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Cincinnati Steam. Martin struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.

James Bourque couldn't get it done on the mound for the Lake Erie Monarchs, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
