Alec Schmenk kept the Xenia Scouts (11-14) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Lake Erie Monarchs (15-10) beat the Xenia Scouts, 6-0.

Schmenk struck out nine and allowed five walks and three hits.

The Lake Erie Monarchs blew out the Xenia Scouts thanks to seven hits, including zero extra base hits. The Lake Erie Monarchs scored three runs in the ninth on a solo home run by Matt Rodgers, an RBI single by Andrew Sohn, and an RBI single by Sohn.

Eric Jacobson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Monarchs, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Aaron Kehres ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
