The Lima Locos (22-13) didn't put up much of a fight on Monday, as the Lake Erie Monarchs (16-18) cruised to a blowout 15-6 win at Simmons Field.
The Lake Erie Monarchs scored seven runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Tyler Curry, a two-run double by Michael Adkins, a two-run home run by Tim Quiery, a single by Andrew Sohn, and a groundout by Dane Wisneski.
Austin Williams racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Garrett Black racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lima Locos. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
Even though James Bourque allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered nine hits.
Garrick Whittle was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
The Lake Erie Monarchs hammered the Lima Locos pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
