The Dayton Docs (8-18) outlasted the Grand Lake Mariners (7-18) on Monday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 7-3 win at Westview Park.

The Dayton Docs finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. Scored Chris Manning and gave the Dayton Docs the lead for good.

The Dayton Docs were led by Manning's hitting. Manning went 4-5 and scored three runs. He singled in the first, fourth, and eighth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Ryan Blanchard was solid at the plate for the Grand Lake Mariners. Blanchard went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Cory Johnson got the win, running his season record to 3-2. Johnson struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Tim Faix ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
