The Stark County Terriers (13-13) and the Hamilton Joes (8-17) passed the lead back and forth four times on Sunday at Walsh University, but in the end the Stark County Terriers pulled out an 11-7 win over the Hamilton Joes.
Tommy Monnot had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the first inning, singled in the fifth and seventh innings, and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Hamilton Joes couldn't get anything going as long as Josh North was on the mound. The Hamilton Joes managed just two hits off of North, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
Cody Leichman put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Hamilton Joes. He doubled in the first and third innings.
Matt Marksberry couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Hamilton Joes, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out six.
