Buck Harris brought home the go-ahead run to give the Xenia Scouts (10-12) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Xenia Scouts hung on to beat the Licking County Settlers (15-9) 4-3 on Friday.
After Chandler Brock reached on an error, Harris singled, bringing home Brock.Brock reached base two times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.
Nathan Roth looked sharp on the mound. Roth held the Licking County Settlers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Brett Barber ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
