After five lead changes in Wednesday's game at Simmons Field, the Lima Locos (15-7) finally pulled out a 6-4 win over the So. Ohio Copperheads (9-7).
The Lima Locos finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. A sacrifice fly by Chris McGowan scored TJ Losby and Kyle Dean and gave the Lima Locos the lead for good.
Ivan de Jesus was hot from the plate for the Lima Locos. De Jesus went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Matt Lopez racked up three RBIs on one hit for the So. Ohio Copperheads. He homered in the fifth inning.
Zach Botjer got the win, running his season record to 4-0. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Joey Rocha (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
