The So. Ohio Copperheads (9-6) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Lima Locos (14-7) on Wednesday.

An error gave the Lima Locos the lead in the seventh inning.

The Lima Locos were led by TJ Losby's hitting. Losby went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

Jeremy Gooding handled the So. Ohio Copperheads' lineup with ease, racking up nine strikeouts. Gooding allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over six innings.

Justin McCalvin recorded his first win of the year for the Lima Locos. McCalvin struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.

Eric Frederick couldn't get it done on the mound for the So. Ohio Copperheads, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
