The Cincinnati Steam (11-4) and the Grand Lake Mariners (5-13) traded the lead four times on Friday, but the Cincinnati Steam ended up on top with a 6-5 win over the Grand Lake Mariners.

Jake Madsen was hot from the plate for the Cincinnati Steam. Madsen went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Brian Korte pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and four walks while striking out four.

Ryan Blanchard reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Kyle Raleigh got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Tyler Jordan was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
