The Licking County Settlers (12-7) pounded the Xenia Scouts (6-11) on Thursday 11-2 at Don Edwards Field.

The Licking County Settlers scored four runs in the eighth on an RBI single by Ryan Cordell, a groundout by Matt Parisi, a groundout by Parisi, and an RBI double by Austin Bossart.

Marcos Calderon went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Licking County Settlers. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the third and sixth innings.

Connor Murphy got the win for the Licking County Settlers thanks to six strikeouts. Murphy allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over six innings.

Aaron Kehres (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
