An awesome effort by Zach Botjer lifted the Lima Locos (14-7) to a 2-1 win over the Dayton Docs (7-15) on Thursday at Simmons Field.

Botjer picked up the win for the Lima Locos. Botjer allowed no earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out six over eight innings of work.

The Dayton Docs jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Dayton Docs led until the seventh inning, but the Lima Locos took the lead back on an RBI single by Ivan de Jesus.

It was a good day at the plate for the Lima Locos' de Jesus. De Jesus went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, sixth, and seventh innings.

Despite the loss, the Dayton Docs' Jon Richard dominated the Lima Locos' batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.
