The Hamilton Joes (5-9) outlasted the Grand Lake Mariners (5-9) on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 5-4 win at Foundation Field.

Ethan McAlpine was solid at the plate for the Hamilton Joes. McAlpine went 3-5. He singled in the first and fifth innings and tripled in the seventh inning.

Michael Timm got on base two times in the game for the Grand Lake Mariners. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eighth inning.

Nick Smith improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Hamilton Joes. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Tyler Jordan (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.
