The Lake Erie Monarchs (8-3) outlasted the Licking County Settlers (8-4) on Thursday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 7-6 win at Don Edwards Field.

David Vandercook racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the tenth inning.

James Bourque recorded his first win of the year for the Lake Erie Monarchs. He allowed two runs over three innings. Bourque struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Brett Barber couldn't get it done on the hill for the Licking County Settlers, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
