The Xenia Scouts' late runs seal 13-7 blowout over the Lexington Hustlers

The Xenia Scouts (4-4) took down the Lexington Hustlers (5-6) 13-7 on Thursday at Henry Clay HS after slamming the Lexington Hustlers with eight runs in the fourth inning.

Chandler Brock put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Xenia Scouts. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fourth innings.

Shane Armstrong shut down the Lexington Hustlers while he was on the mound. Armstrong held the Lexington Hustlers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.

Corey Bays had two extra-base hits for the Lexington Hustlers. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the seventh innings.

Tyler Wells improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Xenia Scouts. He allowed three runs over 2 2/3 innings. Wells struck out none, walked none and gave up five hits.

Ian Tompkins (0-1) took the loss for the Lexington Hustlers. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out five.

The Xenia Scouts' Brock, Jonatahn Popadics and Taylor Kaprive combined for eight hits and three RBIs.
