Jacob Moody was cold coming off the bench, but Moody warmed up quickly as Moody stroked a key pinch-hit single in the eight to lead the Hamilton Joes (4-9) to a 6-3 win over the Dayton Docs (4-8) on Thursday at Foundation Field.

With the Hamilton Joes trailing by one, Moody came to the plate and singled.

Caleb Bryson helped the Hamilton Joes pull ahead for the duration in the eighth inning. With the Hamilton Joes trailing by one in the eighth inning, Bryson came to the plate and homered, scoring Tucker Tubbs and Cody Leichman.

Bryson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Hamilton Joes. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Brett Mckinney baffled the Dayton Docs, striking out seven batters. Mckinney allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over six innings.

Dylan Toscano improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Hamilton Joes. Toscano struck out three, walked none and gave up three hits.

Eli Martin (0-1) took the loss for the Dayton Docs. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
