Max Andresen went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Cincinnati Steam (2-3) to a 6-2 victory over the Lexington Hustlers (4-2) on Tuesday at Henry Clay HS.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.David Simmons was hot from the plate for the Lexington Hustlers. Simmons went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Matt Miller put together a nice outing. The Cincinnati Steam managed just one hit off of Miller, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Matt Jefferson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Shaun Meyer was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
