The Cincinnati Steam (1-1) took down the Stark County Terriers 9-3 on Sunday at Western Hills HS after slamming the Stark County Terriers (0-4) with five runs in the fifth inning.

Matt Williams racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Cincinnati Steam. He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

C.J. Gant brought the heat against the Stark County Terriers during his outing. Gant held the Stark County Terriers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Max Murphy was solid at the plate for the Stark County Terriers. Murphy went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Brian Korte improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Cincinnati Steam. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Brian Kilway (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked one and struck out two.
