The Lexington Hustlers (1-0) and the Xenia Scouts (0-1) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Lexington Hustlers that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-5 win at Henry Clay HS.

Ryan Akins paced the Lexington Hustlers at the plate. Akins went 2-3 and scored two runs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

David Gabel was solid at the plate for the Xenia Scouts. Gabel went 3-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.

Shaun Meyer recorded his first win of the year for the Lexington Hustlers. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered seven hits.

Shane Armstrong (0-1) took the loss for the Xenia Scouts. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed one run.
