The Licking County Settlers (1-0) pounded the Stark County Terriers (0-1) on Friday 10-3 at Walsh University.

The Licking County Settlers scored five runs in the second on , a two-run double by Lucas Calderon, and an RBI single by Nick Schulz.

Calderon had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Jacob North led the Stark County Terriers' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning.

Connor Murphy got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. Murphy struck out six, walked three and gave up six hits.

Johnny Fasola (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
