Chase Davis was cold coming off the bench, but Davis warmed up quickly as Davis stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Lima Locos (2-2) to a 3-2 win over the Grand Lake Mariners (1-1) on Friday at Simmons Field.
With the score tied at two, Davis came to the plate and singled.
A walk-off single by TJ Losby gave the Lima Locos the win.
Losby reached base three times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the tenth inning.
Matt Vollenwieder recorded his first win of the year for the Lima Locos. Vollenwieder struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Trevor Kill (0-1) took the loss for the Grand Lake Mariners. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
