The Lake Erie Crushers (27-25) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Schaumburg Boomers (33-19) on Monday, as the Lake Erie Crushers fell 7-5 at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium after falling behind by seven runs in the third inning.

The Lake Erie Crushers scored five runs in the sixth on a two-run double by Andrew Davis, four singles, and. Unfortunately, the Lake Erie Crushers weren't able to take the lead back.

The Schaumburg Boomers were led by Frank Pfister's hitting. Pfister went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Patrick Mincey had an impressive outing against the Lake Erie Crushers' lineup. Mincey held the Lake Erie Crushers hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Alex Rivers got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Rivers struck out seven, walked one and gave up four hits.

Alex Loftin (3-1) took the loss for the Lake Erie Crushers. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
