The Schaumburg Boomers' McQuail comes through in the clutch, upends the Windy City ThunderBolts, 7-4

Steve McQuail brought home the winning run to give the Schaumburg Boomers (19-11) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Schaumburg Boomers hung on to beat the Windy City ThunderBolts (16-12) 7-4 on Tuesday.

Karexon Sanchez singled to start the seventh. He then went from first to second on a single by Frank Pfister. Finally, McQuail came to the plate with the score tied at four in the seventh inning, and singled, bringing home Sanchez.

Pfister racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

The Windy City ThunderBolts had no answer for Joe Parsons, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just one hit off of the the Schaumburg Boomers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Michael Click (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
