The Kitsap BlueJackets (9-25) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Klamath Falls Gems (7-18) dominated in a 10-1 win at Kitsap Fairgrounds.
The Klamath Falls Gems scored five runs in the third on a single by Parker Miles, a sacrifice fly by Austin Byler, a single by Kevin Davidson, , a single by Joshua Graham, a groundout by Mitchell Esser, and an RBI single by Tanner Nielsen.
It was a good day at the plate for the Klamath Falls Gems' Nielsen. Nielsen went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run.
The Kitsap BlueJackets couldn't get anything going as long as Thomas Thorpe was pitching. The Kitsap BlueJackets managed just two hits off of Thorpe, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out six during his six innings of work.
Tyler Baumgartner had a hot bat for the Kitsap BlueJackets. Baumgartner went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.
