The Walla Walla Sweets cruise past the Kitsap BlueJackets, 12-6

The Kitsap BlueJackets (6-16) didn't stand a chance on Sunday, as the Walla Walla Sweets (6-12) captured a blowout 12-6 win in seven innings at Kitsap Fairgrounds .

The Walla Walla Sweets scored six runs in the sixth on a groundout by Jarrod Turner, an RBI single by Alex Bonczyk, an RBI single by Brett Jacobs, a double by Spencer ONeil, , an RBI single by Chance Kopacz, and an RBI single by Ryan Cooper.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with four lead changes.

Bonczyk paced the Walla Walla Sweets at the plate. Bonczyk went 3-4 and scored three runs.

The Kitsap BlueJackets had no answer for Joe Arlt, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Kitsap BlueJackets managed just two hits off of Arlt, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Stuart Fewel ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

The Walla Walla Sweets pounded the Kitsap BlueJackets pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
