The Klamath Falls Gems cruise past the Bellingham Bells, 14-2

The Bellingham Bells (12-4) didn't put up much of a fight on Wednesday, as the Klamath Falls Gems (2-13) cruised to a blowout 14-2 win at Kiger Stadium.

The Klamath Falls Gems scored seven runs in the fifth on a solo home run by Parker Miles, a three-run home run by Kevin Davidson, an RBI single by Bo Cornish, an RBI single by Tanner Nielsen, and an RBI single by Miles.

Miles racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Klamath Falls Gems.

The Bellingham Bells couldn't get anything going as long as Thomas Eshelman was on the mound. The Bellingham Bells managed just one hit off of the the Klamath Falls Gems' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Christian Coronado improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Klamath Falls Gems. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Karl Myers was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked none and struck out two.

The Klamath Falls Gems easily handled the Bellingham Bells pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
