The Bethesda Big Train (4-1) and the Baltimore Redbirds (3-2) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-3 win at Calvert Hall HS.

Kyle Datres had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning, tripled in the fifth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Johnny York recorded his second win of the year for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed two runs over six innings. York struck out two, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Dallas Woolfolk ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
