Zach Barron had three RBIs, helping the Herndon Braves (1-0) to a 6-5 victory over the Alexandria Aces (0-1) on Sunday at Frank Mann Field.

Dom Morabito had an impressive outing against the Alexandria Aces' lineup. Morabito held the Alexandria Aces hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two.

A bright spot for the Alexandria Aces in the defeat was Tyler Morder, who allowed only two runs while striking out five.

Mike Annone reached base three times in the game for the Alexandria Aces. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Morder ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
