Allen Smoot went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Bethesda Big Train (21-10) took home a 4-2 victory over the D.C. Grays (10-21) in seven innings at Washington Nationals Academy on Monday.

Matt Marsili had an impressive outing against the D.C. Grays' lineup. Marsili held the D.C. Grays hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Marques Inman was solid at the plate for the D.C. Grays. Inman went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Bryan Quillens had an impressive outing against the Bethesda Big Train's lineup. Quillens gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

John Murphy improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Simon Rosenblum-Larson (0-4) took the loss for the D.C. Grays. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
