Conrad Kovalcik went 2-4, helping the Rockville Express (13-19) to a 4-3 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (14-17) on Monday at Criswell Automotive Field.
He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.The Gaithersburg Giants had no answer for Cole Bradley, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Gaithersburg Giants managed just three hits off of the the Rockville Express' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 6 2/3 innings of work.
Michael McCann reached base three times. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Kyle Lefelar recorded his second win of the year for the Rockville Express. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Adam Neveski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
