Sixth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Terre Haute Rex, 9-3

The Terre Haute Rex (17-11) blew out the Hannibal Cavemen 9-3 on Saturday at Clemens Field after pouring on six runs in the sixth inning.

The Terre Haute Rex scored in the sixth on a hit by pitch, , a three-run single by Julio Rosales, and a solo home run by Niko Decolati.

Decolati put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Terre Haute Rex.

The Hannibal Cavemen (8-20) couldn't get anything going so long as Cash Gladfelter was on the hill. Gladfelter held the Hannibal Cavemen hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Wyatt Champlin led the Hannibal Cavemen's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Nick Bruns (0-1) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Terre Haute Rex were sparked by Chris Ayers and Decolati, who teamed up for five hits and seven RBIs.
