The bats were busy at Kokernot Field on Sunday, and when the dust cleared the Alpine Cowboys (32-32) had a 10-8 win over the Roswell Invaders (44-23).
The teams totaled 28 hits in the game.
Eric Ferguson was hot from the plate for the Alpine Cowboys. Ferguson went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.
Ely Gallego racked up eight strikeouts in the the Alpine Cowboys win. Gallego allowed one earned run on nine hits and two walks over seven innings.
Cody Coffman led the Roswell Invaders' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.
Eric Gleese (1-2) took the loss for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed 10 runs in six innings, walked one and struck out six.
