A walk-off solo blast from Elijah Trail brought home the winning run for the Traverse City Beach Bums (24-33) in a 4-3 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (29-30) at Wuerfel Park on Thursday.

Trail had two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

Dylan Stoops allowed two earned runs, four hits and five walks while striking out three over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Corey Kimes was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Traverse City Beach Bums batters and allowing three runs.

Andrew Brockett improved to 3-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Brockett struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

JaVaun West was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
