Dyllon Nuernberg surrendered three hits to lift the Southern Illinois Miners (39-17) to an 8-7 win over the Joliet Slammers (30-26) at Silver Cross Field.
Nolan Earley racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Southern Illinois Miners. He homered in the third inning.
Jake Gronsky paced the Joliet Slammers at the plate. Gronsky went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the ninth innings.
