The Traverse City Beach Bums (25-35) pounded the River City Rascals (28-30) on Sunday 8-2 at CarShield Field.

A solo home run by Giancarlo Brugnoni and a three-run home run by Steven Patterson helped the Traverse City Beach Bums score four runs in the second. The Traverse City Beach Bums had four hits in the inning.

Patterson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums.

The River City Rascals had no answer for Luke Barker, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The River City Rascals managed just one hit off of Barker, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

A bright spot for the River City Rascals in the defeat was Austin Warner, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Tucker Simpson recorded his first win of the year for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He allowed two runs over five innings. Simpson struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

Reese Gregory (2-2) took the loss for the River City Rascals. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
