Kyle Gaedele went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the River City Rascals (28-29) to a 6-5 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums (24-35) on Saturday at CarShield Field.

The Traverse City Beach Bums had no answer for Jason Zgardowski, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Traverse City Beach Bums managed just one hit off of Zgardowski, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Elijah Trail had two extra-base hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He doubled in the second and third innings.

Luke Barker brought the heat against the River City Rascals during his outing. Barker gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Michael Gunn improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. Gunn struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.

Joeanthony Rivera couldn't get it done on the mound for the Traverse City Beach Bums, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
