A walk-off single from Utah Jones brought home the winning run for the Baltimore Redbirds (28-11) in a 4-3 victory over the Bethesda Big Train at Calvert Hall HS on Thursday.
Jones got on base three times in the game for the Baltimore Redbirds. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and ninth innings.
Tyler Blohm put together a nice outing. The Bethesda Big Train (27-12) managed just two hits off of the the Baltimore Redbirds' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Andrew Miller recorded his third win of the year for the Baltimore Redbirds. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered two hits.
CJ Schildt (0-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
